To this day, the biggest way Greenhouse has impacted me is by giving me the skills needed to present myself in front of people (prepared or unprepared) and to facilitate small group discussions.  I entered Greenhouse as a shy, introverted high schooler. Constantly preparing speeches, improvising with viva voces and theater presentations, and participating in small group discussions brought me out of my shell. These helped me understand how to have healthy discourse and encourage everyone’s voice to be heard. Greenhouse gave me confidence and practical skills that I use each day as a teacher.
